Kokoro (heart in japanese) is a concept I’ve had in my head for some time. I just don’t know what it is or could be exactly. A children’s book, a game, animation series, plushies or maybe all of them together? All I know it’s something cute and colorful. Definetly influenced by Katamari and Totoro for example. Anyways, here’s some ingredients of the concept quickly thrown together.

Summer is on it’s way, yay! (Someone could remember this little fella from my previous doodles.)

Well, the title pretty much sums it up. Summer is coming slow and steady and that made me think of berries, so here they are.

I’ve been reeaally buzy (again), hence the blog silence. But anyways, here’s a crocodile to cheer you up, I sure had a good time making it!

I came up with this idea to make quick characters using emoticons as their faces. Here’s the result:

I tried to make the colours reflect their emotions. I’m thinking of making a little series out of these, there’s still quite a list of emoticons left.

These characters we’re made for an animation I never actually made, maybe I’ll make a short clip with them one day. I added the texture to the image to give it a little bit flavor.

Sunday animation fun: The Sea Monster

This is something I’ve wanted to do for some time now, to combine live video and animation that is. The video is free stock footage and the the monster is illustrated and animated by me. The “roar” is a stock sample I edited a little bit. The monster was made with Illustrator and animated in Flash. This one was also featured in the Monsters In Real Places-blog . Enjoy!
